We’ve wandered into BJs Brewhouse in Laguna Hills, Calif. for a bite to eat and to taste a few beers.

The one on the left is mine — the PM Porter, the one on the right is Beer Buddy’s. It’s a special right now, Owen’s IPA.

Hour number 9 & we’re still going strong

The 12 Hour Belgian Beer Party at Pizza Port Carlsbad. CA

Ok, here’s the menu — 100 beers in the bottle and on tap. I’m starting with the Unibroue Trois Pistoles, which is a very nice, light and fruity beer. (Plus it’s from Unibroue, which sounds a lot like “Unibrow” — LOL)

There must be more than 100 bottles of Belgian Beer in the line up. Plus they’re opening a new Magnum bottle every hour!

Today we’re blogging from the Belgian beer festival in Carlsbad, Calif.

There’s about 100 different beers to try and only 12 hours in which to do it, so we’ll report as we go.

Fun live from Port Brewing

Saturday, March 24th is the Belgian Beer Festival at Pizza Port in Carlsbad, Calif.. (If you’re anywhere near San Diego that day you have to be there.)

Anyway, they’re having some sort of dinner the night before, so Port’s Master Brewer Tomme Arthur and the other Port Brewing folk won’t be able to run the tasting room / bar at the Lost Abbey/Port Brewing facility over in San Marcos. But guess who is?

Yup, Molly & me. W00t!

So if you’re in the area and always wanted to sample some of San Diego’s (and the West Coast’s) finest beers — particularly the Lost Abbey Beglians — and join the countless dozens who’ve appeared here on mybeerpix.com; or if you just want to hang out and be waited on by the lovely Beer Molly, Friday, March 23rd is your chance to do it!

The tasting room is open from 4:00pm to 6:30pm (it’s also open Saturdays from 11:00am to 3:30pm), so make sure to drop on by.
